Graduation Requirements

It is important that students understand the requirements that must be met in order to graduate. Each year, the counselor will work with students to ensure that they have opportunities to earn the needed credits and complete the required assessments. Please see the Standard Diploma Requirements and the Pathways to Success for specific information regarding graduation requirements and postsecondary preparation.

Florida Bright Futures

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program establishes lottery-funded scholarships to reward Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement.

Florida Shines offers a variety of free resources to assist students in college and career preparation, including a grade level checklist for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students
Community Service

Students must have community service hours in order to meet the eligibility requirements for Bright Futures. Please see the Community Service Guidelines for more information about community service opportunities. Students will document their community service hours on the Community Service Log. Completed community service logs should be submitted to Mrs. Butler.

Applying for College

Seniors,

 

You may be eligible for a waiver to cover the cost of application fees. The college to which you are applying will likely request a high school transcript as well. Please see Mrs. Butler to determine if you are eligible for a fee waiver or to request to have your transcript sent to your college of interest.

ACT Testing

SAT Test Dates

The SAT is a college preparation test that is offered multiple times throughout the year. Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Get ready! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) will be available on October 1 for the 2022-2023 academic year. Completing the FAFSA is the first step in determining a student’s eligibility for financial aid.
